Ladurée le Bar in Paris
Trying to find one of the most luxurious bars in Paris? Staying in luxurious paris apartments? Are you one of the lucky ones that has got some spare cash? if the answer is yes, good for you! Can’t you hear a special bar in the centre of Parisian nightlife that is calling you to go there as we speak. The most sophisticated bar in Paris as it’s being called is situated at avenue des Champs-Élysées 75 Paris VIII or 13 rue Lincoln Paris VIII(Tel: 01 40 75 08 75).
Since having opened in September 2008, Ladurée le Bar has been a big success with Parisians alike. It must be boring being great at everything, after having reached the top in terms of confectionary, Ladurée thought it would give a bar a go. Offering a mouthwatering menu of savoury dishes as well as a sumptuous cocktail to complement, it goes without saying that Le Bar is the ultimate in sophistication.
The décor is perfect. If only my paris accommodation looked like this bar! the bar is the focus of the room, made from resin and with an undulating shape it shines and glows in the light coming from below it. Created by designer and antiques dealer Roxane Rodriguez, is a flamoboyant neo Art Nouveau creation and nothing like the traditional dining room of the original Ladurée patisserie that we all know and love. he bar is also decorated with stained glass in which butterflies are trapped and has a whole host of sparkly lights.
After the overall stunning appearance of the bar comes the menu, which is to die for. You will love the organic pumpkin soup with royal scampi, blue Breton lobster carpaccio and loin of veal carpaccio. Give “Millefeuille framboise” if you have a sweet tooth! It is made from; caramelized puff pastry, whipped and vanilla cream and a healthy number of juicy raspberries.
Ladurée has come so far that it now has a tea salon, restaurant, pastry shop, chocolate shop, ice cream parlour and a fantastic bar serving its trademark delicious macaroon cocktail. It goes without saying, a trip to one of the Ladurée premises and a handful of purchases is bound to make your day.
